What is Canyoning?
Canyoning is one of the fastest growing contemporary outdoor sports. It involves using caving techniques to traverse eroded valleys, cross fast-flowing rivers, negotiate narrow gullies and waterfalls.
We have arranged a special day each week for our guests with a professional company that conform to international standards for safety and use only the best equipment. Your guide is fully trained and is available exclusively to our guests.
The day starts with a journey to Dogusbelen Canyon, in the Akyaka region. After preparing the equipment the adventure begins. Dependent on the size and ability of the group (normally 4 – 10) the journey takes approximately 5 hours, including breaks to swim in the cooling rock pools and waterfalls along the way.
You provide sports shoes, shorts, a t shirt you don’t mind getting wet and a rucksack. The school provide other necessary equipment.
