GOURMET TURKISH CUISINE with DIDEM ŞENOL
Didem Şenol is rapidly establishing a reputation as one of Turkey’s most promising up and coming chefs. Didem trained in New York at Le Cirque and is now based in Istanbul working closely with Turkey’s premier chef, Mehmet Gurs at the fashionable Istanbul restaurant - ‘Lokanta’.
Fortuitously, Didem also happens to be the daughter of Ahmet – the owner of The Dionysos! The aim of the week is to provide a thorough introduction to Turkish cuisine combining kitchen demonstrations with ‘hands on’ work and exploration of the region from a culinary perspective.
Classes will include the creation of an appetizer, main course and a desert. Guests will learn how to get the best from traditional ingredients such as lamb, white cheese, honey, Turkish coffee, olives, mezze, raki, Turkish pastries, dough making, herbs and spices . Recipes will be provided to ensure each class is easily followed and recreated at home!
