A CAVE HOUSE HOTEL

Kayadam provides a rare opportunity to stay in a truly individual hotel, a living monument dating from between the fourth and sixth centuries AD.

A careful restoration was carried out over a period of three years by the academic owners, with damaged stones being painstakingly re-cut by hand and the walls being carefully scraped to enhance the colours of the natural rock.

The cave house has six comfortable rooms, all of which have a modern en suite bathroom and open onto a west-facing terrace which offers superb panoramic views of Ürgüp. A further two cave rooms with garden terraces, and one suite with terrace and magnificent view are located in ‘Villa Bacchus’ 50 metres away.

An extraordinary family-run hotel which provides an intimate and personal service.
