A VILLA HOTEL

Kleo Cottages consists of a grouping of six completely detached two and three-bedroom country cottages all of which have beautiful views across the mountainside and some out to sea.

They are set in natural gardens, to the side of a mountain stream, and they share a communal pool hidden in the centre of the gardens.

The setting perfectly reflects the relaxed pace of life in the mountains, where your peace is most likely to be disturbed by the ringing bells of a passing goat herd.

Kleo Cottages has received nothing but praise since its opening in 2002. We have known its owners, Muberra and Selahattin, for many years now and have spent many a happy hour helping to plan their
ambitious project. For that reason we are now delighted to present the exciting new concept of Kleo Cottages as a villa hotel.

The cottages retain a ‘village-style’ of architecture, and blend beautifully with the environment. Muberra and Selahattin’s partner, Zehra, is an architect of considerable vision. She has been completely committed to the concept of complementing the surrounding natural mountain scenery by ensuring that local stones and wood were used to finish the cottages. Each cottage is extremely spacious and comfortable and is set out over two or three storeys, providing the feel of a house rather than that of a cliché ‘holiday let’.

Breakfast is served in a relaxed fashion each morning with guests able to elect to eat in the pool bar or on their private terraces whatever your preference.

The swimming pool has a pool bar which serves drinks and light meals throughout the day. In addition, should you wish to eat in, but don’t wish to cook for yourself, meals can be served in your own cottage
direct from Muberra and Selahattin’s lovely mountain restaurant, Bodamye Tepe (the pool meals are also prepared here).

The restaurant is located just 100 metres away and has the most spectacular setting, in fact one to match its reputation!

This delightfully remote location still offers a good choice of restaurants, either in Islamlar itself or in nearby Kalkan (taxis are easily arranged to Kalkan for approximately £20 return, should you prefer not to drive yourself).

Likewise, exploration of the area is easily accomplished – whether you decide to trek along the famous Lycian Way which passes through the region, or use the inclusive car to meander through the villages of the Taurus mountains and experience life as it may have been centuries ago!
