Private Villa Escapes Mehmet Ağa Evi , Kayaköy, near Fethiye & Ölü Deniz, The Gulf of Göcek and Fethiye
Mehmet Ağa Evi is named after an important village merchant who lived here many years ago. This wonderful 250-year-old village house has been tastefully renovated and now provides an extremely comfortable and peaceful retreat that is full of character – the perfect base for your holiday in the Kaya valley.
The location is also wonderful, as the house sits on a small hillock in the centre of the valley, enjoying fabulous views across the plain to the mountains beyond.
The house is one of three properties we feature in Kaya owned by the incredibly hospitable Gönül and her charming husband Ahmet – the others are Tangala Evi and Bodoska Evi.
We have been fortunate to be associated with Gönül over many years, and she has an abiding passion for the Kaya valley and this fascinating region as a whole. Gönul and Ahmet’s long held dream has been to carefully renovate a few very old houses to provide guests with the opportunity to enjoy a most unusual holiday experience. We are pleased to be able to offer the fruits of their labour to our guests.
