'an idyllic and stylish escape'

This lovely house is named after the pomegranate tree that dominates the spacious grounds. The position is truly excellent, with dramatic views across the mountains to Patara and Kalkan bay below. Built into the hillside, the house is unique in design and takes care to maximise the impact of the wonderful scenery.

The highlights are the pool area and gardens, which provide the most glorious natural setting for relaxation.

The owners, Senay and Okan, are academics, based in Istanbul, who fell in love with Islamlar and wanted to create a very special retreat for themselves well away from the bustle of life in the city. The result of their efforts is a stylish property that provides an authentic village feel without compromising on quality and comfort in any way.

As is the case with Üzüm Evi (which is about 150 metres away), it is easy to dip in and out of the relatively sophisticated delights of Kalkan and the Lycian coast beyond, although for many it will be difficult to leave this peaceful and tranquil setting.
