Exclusive Boutique Hotels Beyaz Yunus Ölü Deniz, Ölü Deniz, near Fethiye, The Gulf of Göcek & Fethiye
This new boutique hotel has been influenced by the Moroccan Rhiads – the result is a seamless blend of the traditional and contemporary. Gates open onto an oasis of garden terraces, a secret paradise set into the hillside and hidden behind thick walls.
Each of the seven rooms has floor-to-ceiling windows and a spacious terrace, making the most of the extraordinary location and sea views.
Beyaz Yunus (meaning ‘White Dolphin’) is one of Turkey’s best-reputed fish restaurants. Its reputation has been earned over many years, and results from a combination of superb cuisine and its idyllic location looking directly over the most famous beach in Turkey at Ölü Deniz. Beyaz Yunus has now been relocated to the beautiful and remote island of Kizil Ada to make way for our fabulous new and very exclusive boutique escape: Beyaz Yunus Ölü Deniz.
The ‘Beyaz Yunus’ hotels are owned by Mehmet, and they are a result of his quest to present his country in a manner never previously attempted, and to attract guests that might not have looked to Turkey for this style and quality of holiday. Mehmet is keen to create interesting and unusual concepts, and each of his properties (he currently owns three) differs significantly – but the common theme is simply to offer a truly unique environment with excellent personal service for a small number of guests.
These aims and philosophies coincide perfectly with our own, and we are both proud and delighted to feature the extraordinary Beyaz Yunus Faralya and the brand-new and utterly breathtaking Beyaz Yunus Ölü Deniz exclusively within our programme.
What the Beyaz Yunus properties do havein common is their quite superb locations. The ‘safari-like’ Beyaz Yunus Faralya is set in a remote forest clearing directly on the water’s edge, while the more sophisticated Beyaz Yunus Ölü Deniz, enjoys the most glorious setting immediately above the famous beach of Ölü Deniz, with views across the bay that are amongst the best in Turkey!
The entrance is restricted to private keyholders only. Gates open onto an ‘oasislike’ private paradise with spacious garden terraces tumbling down the steep hillside affording staggering sea views from every conceivable vantage point.
Steps lead around the rooms, down past various garden terraces to the glorious setting of the restaurant and bar. Another path winds past the Sauna & Massage Area and onto the swimming pool area. The decked ‘infinity’ pool and pool bar provide wonderful views across Ölü Deniz and offer yet another attractive area for guests to relax in comfort.
In fact, this boutique hotel provides considerable space for its small number of guests, the idea being to allow you the choice of relaxing in privacy, or joining fellow guests as and when desired.
The Service
Feedback from our guests for the first season was quite superb, with no praise higher than that provided for the manager, Mustafa, and his team. Truly, nothing is ever too much trouble.
The Rooms
The feeling of exclusivity and privacy in this Exclusive Boutique Hotel is enhanced further by the seven rooms. Each room has a contemporary décor with a rustic feel and, though differing in layout, are designed to provide enormous space, comfort and privacy – both inside and out.
Floor-to-ceiling windows open onto private terraces which are almost as large as the rooms themselves, and ensure maximum impact is made of the amazing location – staggering views can be found from virtually every point of the room, including the kingsize beds!
The rooms are better described as suites, with living space provided both inside and out, and a terrace which has the feel of an alfresco sitting room – complete with outdoor jacuzzi tub and one with a private pool.
Each room provides enormous space for relaxation and includes wifi, surroundsound flat-screen TV/DVD/CD (selection provided) and a cocktail bar (your waiter will gladly prepare your cocktails, or indeed teach you some you might not know!).
Another unsusual feature is that each bathroom has its own minature Turkish Bath (Hamam).
