Route 3 - Kalkan – Göcek

Route 3
Kalkan – Göcek (via Kekova, Kas & Fethiye)

A virtual mirror image of route 3 with a few logistical differences.

Saturday
Arrive and spend the first evening in kalkan harbour.

Sunday
Cruise towards the Kas region for lunch, before continuing to the scenically striking region of the sunken city of kekova and the tiny villages of kale and uçagiz. The remainder of the day will be spent in exploration of this stunning region visiting the simple village of kale, climb to the castle-top at uçagiz and cruise past the renowned sunken city of kekova. The evening is spent in a peaceful bay.

Monday
In the morning guests have the opportunity to explore the ancient site of Aperlae. This site lies literally on the edge of the sea and, should you get too hot whilst exploring this fascinating site – just jump in for a cooling swim! After lunch the gulet cruises towards the harbour at Kas where guests have the opportunity to explore its winding cobbled streets. In the late afternoon you depart to cruise to the kalkan region where the evening is spent in Furnaz Bay.

Tuesday< r /> This long cruising day begins with a pre-breakfast start. Breakfast will either be served on the move or at the canyon gorge of Butterfly Valley. This stunning cruise follows the Yediburular coastline past the seemingly endless sands of Patara, the longest beach in the Mediterranean, Butterfly Valley, the famous beach at Ölü Deniz, and on along to Gemiler Island where lunch is taken. In the afternoon guests have the opportunity to enjoy market day in the harbour town of Fethiye. You can then elect to either spend the evening in port or in the quiet bay of Turunc Pinari nearby.

Wednesday
Explore the bays and inlets of the Fethiye side of the Gulf. Overnighting in a peaceful bay.

Thursday & Friday
Spend two wonderfully lazy days exploring the unspoilt islands of the Gulf of Göcek with plenty of opportunity for water sports and sailing.

Saturday
Enjoy a final morning and lunch in the Gulf before concluding the week in Göcek marina.

Kindly Note: Should your party not wish to visit Fethiye market the gulet can spend another day in the Kekova region and move up the coast on Wednesday.
