Cultural Sites


Though situated in the uncommercial north of Cephalonia, the entire island is easily explored from Assos. The following sites are readily discovered within a 90 minute journey.

Mount Aenos The focal point of the island, famously home to wild horses
Melissani Lake A huge underground lake
Drogarati Caves Dramatic caves estimated to be 150 million years old
Assos Castle A dramatic Venetian fortress
