Beaches

Ithaca has a plethora of gorgeous bays, the majority of which are smooth white pebbled crescents with aquamarine waters, backed by pine-clad mountains. Some are accessible only by mountain tracks, others from the sea and many easily by road. No matter what the time of year, it is almost always possible to discover a beach that you can enjoy alone!!

  A ‘blue flag’ beach close to Vathy

  Gorgeous scenery, close to Vathy

  Beautiful, fine golden pebbls, on the West Coast of the Island.
• Polis Bay
  A pebble beach below the pretty local village of Stavros. Sun beds and a ‘cantina’ offering refreshments are available in the height of the summer. Boat hire is available from here.
