Special Greek Island Cruise: Selimye - Datça – Symi – Halki - Rhodes - Göcek
Route 5a Private Whole Boat Charter Only
A virtual mirror image of route 5 with a few logistical differences.
Saturday
Arrive and spend the first night in Selimye harbour.
Sunday
Exploring the beautiful bays of the Bozburun Peninsula overnighting in the region of Diresek Buku.
Monday
In the morning the gulet crosses to the harbour at Datça for coffee (and crew paperwork). From here you cruise to the beautiful Greek island of Symi for an evening in one of Greece’s most picturesque harbours.
Tuesday
The morning is spent in further exploration of Symi prior to cruising to the 'picture postcard' island of Halki.
Wednesday
In the morning the gulet explores the coast of Halki before moving on to the Greek Island of Rhodes where the evening is spent in the old port of Rodos.
Thursday
After breakfast explore the coast of Rhodes prior to an afternoon crossing to:
Option 1: Marmaris where guests can explore the old city and new marina whilst the Captain deals with the paperwork. The evening is spent in Kumlubük or Kadirga Bays.
Option 2: Fethiye where guests can explore the market and harbour town whilst the Captain deals with the paperwork. The evening can be spent as you prefer either in Fethiye harbour or at the nearby peaceful bay of Turunc Koyu.
Friday
Option 1: The next morning you cruise onto the fabulous beach at Iztuzu, at the mouth of the Dalyan Delta and famous as a protected home of the loggerhead sea turtle. A riverboat can be hired (payable locally) on which you can further explore the glorious delta including the Carian site at Kaunos, Dalyan town, the mud and sulphur baths and Lake Köycegiz. The evening is spent in the beautiful bay at Ecincik.
Option 2: A lazy day spent exploring the unspoilt islands of the Gulf of Göcek with plenty of opportunity for water sports and sailing. Overnight at Aga Limani or Dis Gobun Bay.
Saturday
Option 1: An early start prior to concluding the week in Göcek marina.
Option 2: A morning spent in further exploration of the unspoilt islands of the Gulf of Göcek before concluding the week in Göcek marina.
Special Notes for routes 5 & 5a
i. A supplement is applicable to this route to cover additional fuel together with official charges and harbour fees in Greece.
All supplements are included in the prices shown online.
ii. Gulets can only visit Greek waters with a maximum of 12 guests onboard. If your party is larger than 12 an alternative route will be arranged staying in Turkish waters with a reduction applicable for Greek Harbour fees of £300 per boat per week.
iii. Option 1 must be followed for three days or Option 2 - they cannot be combined.
