Beyaz Yunus Ölü Deniz

Beaches

Private steps lead down from the restaurant terrace directly onto the famous Ölü Deniz beach at the peaceful end that seems to stay quiet even in the height of summer. The walk along the beach is idyllic and leads to the National Park Lagoon – which is probably the signature image of coastal Turkey. The choice doesn't end there with the region home to some of Turkey's most spectacular beaches - all well worth exploring.

Intro b

Ölü Deniz Beach & Lagoon
Home to the most photographed and famous beach in Turkey. Needless to say, it does get busy during peak season and in recent years it has become more mainstream. Despite this, the turquoise lagoon waters and fringes of sand are beautiful and well worth a visit. There are two beaches: the main beach is free of charge but has sun loungers and umbrellas for daily hire; the lagoon beach has an entrance fee.
Kıdrak Beach
A 15-minute walk along the dramatic coastal road in the other direction leads to our favourite beach in the region at Kidrak. This beautiful beach - at the edge of a pine forest - remains predominantly peaceful throughout the summer and can be enjoyed at your leisure.
Gemiler Beach
This is a peaceful shingle beach, flanked with pine forests on both sides It lies six kilometres beyond Kayaköy, along a dirt track. You can happily spend a few hours snorkelling and swimming around the rocky coves of the bay and relaxing in one of the local cafés.
Butterfly Valley
The village of Faralya is perched on the mountainside overlooking Butterfly Valley, one of Turkey’s most stunning bays. The location is so dramatic that the safest way to access this beach is from the sea. Boats can be arranged from Ölü Deniz.
Kabak
The most picturesque of bays, Kabak is wonderfully remote and sits far below the trail of The Lycian Way, beyond Beyaz Yunus Faralya. The beach can reached  by hire car.
