(Show more)Explore the PeninsulaIf you can tear yourself away, Mehmet Ali Ağa is well located for easy exploration of the Datça peninsula which is an absolute delight. The walking in the region is glorious as there are many opportunities to explore the surrounding nature and cultural sites. The Old Town of Datça is worth visiting as is the town harbour, both of which offer a good choice of local restaurants. A must-see for guests is the ancient Hellenistic site at Knidos which is of significant historical importance. It is delightfully undeveloped and visitors can wander over the ruins, which lie pretty much as they fell, at their leisure. Set against the backdrop of a quiet fishing harbour with just one lokanata (small restaurant), it makes for an interesting day out. Pack sturdy shoes, plenty of water and a wide brimmed hat. Sibel – the delightful manager – is the perfect holiday planner and will delight in creating an itinerary entirely suited to your needs.
