January 16, 2012 - Take a dip at the pool in Turkey

The two-storey Pool House villa is the latest addition to the 27 natural stone and red-roofed suites clustered on the palm-tree strewn hillside of the Deniz Feneri Lighthouse on the Kas Peninsula.

It was remarkable - both my husband and I were able to read a whole book each in a week. This may not be the highlight of the average holiday but when you have two children under four and your break is on a boat it is pretty miraculous. In addition, our four-year-old, Saskia, learned to swim breaststroke unaided except for a pair of water-wings, we snorkelled every morning and I didn't have to prepare one meal in seven glorious days.
