This glorious property has quite rightly established a reputation as one of the world’s leading hotels. The location on the banks of the Bosphorus is unbeatable and the concept – a renovated Ottoman Palace – equally hard to match. The imperial Çırağan Palace, once the residence of the last Ottoman Sultans, was restored to its former glory by the Kempinski Group and opened its doors in 1991. It should be said that the 315 rooms do place the Çirağan Palace on the large side for an Exclusive Escapes recommendation but we feel the aforementioned compensations speak for themselves! If you wish to indulge yourself during your stay in Istanbul, the Çirağan Palace is the place to do it! |
